K.U. Campus Landmarks, 1964-65

Above: Campus from the roof of New Fraser Hall,1967, panoramic view of campus, August 1964 and 1966. I had 2-3 classes in old Fraser, including an Anthropology lecture in an auditorium on an upper floor. Not saying that old Fraser was rickety, but halfway through the semester, the people who were sitting in and under the balcony were told to vacate those seats for the duration.
There were several iconic buildings in the 1960s - and some real s###-holes, such as the WWII era barracks on the hill next to the football stadium that served as Western Civ classrooms, grad teaching assistant offices, and occasional free-range toilets. Below: Old Fraser Hall (which in the winter formed a nice wind tunnel with Blake Hall for PGD youth walking to early morning classes); Old Robinson gym (scene of many Fiji IM triumphs); PGD HouseChancellor’s residence (unfortunately within earshot of PGD)
