Pledge Walkout to Norman, November '64
One of the actives discovered that we had tickets to the OU football game and was able to arrange for Catlin, Sweda, Crandall, Duff to be at the House in anticipation of our exit. That led to scenes like Sweda holding Morton up by the neck with one arm while Rob’s feet were dangling in the air. {editor’s note: Haase was also a favorite pummeling target for actives from Salina}

Jones hitches part of the way back to school

Bill Jones's parents lived at 29 Palms Marine Corps post where Bill's father was the commanding officer. On one trip back to Kansas after a visit home, all Bill could afford was bus fare. Unfortunately a fellow passenger boarded in Arizona with a bucket of fried chicken. His dining disgusted Bill, who got off the bus in Oklahoma and sought alternate transportation back to Lawrence.
